The Evesham Township School District will again be offering a tuition-based full-day kindergarten program for the 2014–2015 school year. The curriculum used in this program is aligned to what is currently being offered in our half-day program; however, extends early reading and math concepts, language development, fine and gross motor skills, related arts and social skills.
A full-day session will be offered at all seven elementary schools. A minimum of 15 students per classroom is required for a session to be implemented. There will also be a maximum number of students per classroom of 20. The cost for the program is $5,000 for the year, and includes transportation for all families living within Evesham’s bus zones.
To be considered for admission into this program, there are three requirements that must be met:
• Families must be residents of Evesham Township or ETSD employees
• Students must be 5 years of age on or before Oct. 1, 2014
• Students must have up-to-date immunizations
Anyone interested in enrolling their child in one of our classes should complete an application, which can be found on the district website at evesham.k12.nj.us, and return it along with the non-refundable application fee of $50 on or before Friday, March 7 to: Evesham Township School District, Office of Curriculum & Instruction, 25 S. Maple Ave., Marlton, NJ 08053.
As applicants are received, district personnel will assign a tracking number to each child who submitted an application. Students will be assigned to their home school on a first come, first serve basis. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available slots at any one school, students will be placed on a wait list at their home school and offered placement at another building.
Applicant families will be notified of their acceptance and school placement based on final enrollment numbers no later than Friday, March 14. At that time, an Acceptance Form must be completed and returned by Wednesday, March 26. Failure to return this form by the deadline shall constitute a declination of enrollment.
