The Shamong School District received notification that Atlantic Express Transportation Company will be out of business as of Dec. 31. The administration and Board of Education has worked to secure a bus company to fulfill the district’s transportation needs until the end of the school year.
Students who are currently transported by Atlantic Express will be transported by Garden State Transportation beginning Jan. 2. The bus routes and numbers will remain the same. The district is hopeful some, if not all, of the district’s drivers will remain on their current bus routes.
The board thanked residents for their cooperation as it works through this situation.
