The Dr. James Still Education Center, located at 211 Church Road in Medford, is hosting its first annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Everyone is invited to stop by and be transported to a Victorian holiday setting created by local members of Pinelands Garden Club, enjoy homemade sweet treats and hot beverages, and then stay for the music. Medford School of Music staff and students will set the mood with performances of seasonal music on keyboards and in a sax ensemble. Following their performance, Paula Johns, jazz vocalist and actress, will perform traditional holiday music live, sharing songs from her album, “Christmas in Cape May” as well as other old favorites. Johns is scheduled to perform at 3 p.m.
There is no fee, but donations are welcome to continue support for the mission of preserving Still’s legacy and the community he called home.
