Arrests made in Mt. Laurel air conditioner thefts

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

On Oct. 16, Mt. Laurel police officers arrested a 24-year old male of Timberline Drive, Mt. Laurel and a 31-year-old male of Hemlock Lane, Mt. Laurel for the theft of eight air conditioning units from a shopping center on Creek Road in September. The 24-year-old was charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft and lodged in Burlington County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. The 31-year-old male was also charged with theft and conspiracy and released pending a municipal court hearing.

On Oct. 29 additional charges were filed against the 24-year-old. He was charged with the theft of air conditioning units that occurred in September from homes on Coral Avenue, West Wood Lane, and Rancocas Boulevard. Charges have also been filed against a 30-year-old male from Marlton for theft and conspiracy to commit theft. He assisted the 24-year-old with some of the thefts. He is still at large and encouraged to turn himself in to the Mt. Laurel Police or any police officer in New Jersey.
