Democrats sweep election in Cherry Hill
Cherry Hill Township Council will remain all Democrat as the four candidates running for re-election defeated their Republican opponents.
In the unofficial results released by the Camden County Board of Elections on Tuesday night, Democrats David Fleisher, Carole Roskoph, Susan Shin Angulo and James Bannar were re-elected. They defeated Republicans Nancy O’Dowd, John Galie, Dan Loveland, and Stephen Cohen.
The unofficial results with all 48 precincts reporting are as follows:
David Fleisher (D) — 14.63 percent (10,481 votes)
Carole Roskoph (D) — 14.03 percent (10,046 votes)
Susan Shin Angulo (D) — 14.17 percent (10,146 votes)
James Bannar (D) — 13.95 percent (9,990 votes)
Nancy O’Dowd (R) — 11.54 percent (8,263 votes)
Stephen Cohen (R) — 10.76 percent (7,708 votes)
John Galie (R) — 10.57 percent (7,567 votes)
Dan Loveland (R) — 10.34 percent (7,402 votes)
There were also 17 write-in votes.
In the Board of Education election, Sherrie Cohen, Steve Robbins and Elliott Roth were all re-elected. The three candidates ran unopposed.
The results from the election are unofficial until all provisional ballots are counted.
