Burlington County animal shelter announces “Happy Trails” adoption program

The Burlington County Freeholders are pleased to announce the Burlington County Animal Shelter’s “Happy Tails” adopt-a-pet program.

This program will feature a sheltered animal each month at the County Corner store in the Moorestown Mall. The program will kick-off on Aug. 30, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and run on the last Friday of each month.

The shelter provides spayed or neutered animals for adoption in hopes of controlling the county’s animal population.

The County Animal Shelter is located on Academy Drive off of Woodlane Rd., behind the Burlington County Library in Westampton Township. Hours of operation are noon to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays; noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The shelter is closed on Sundays and holidays.

For more information, call the County Animal Shelter at (609) 265–5073.
