Reminder: YMCA blood drive tomorrow

The need for blood is constant. This is especially true during summer months when regular donors are on vacation and schools are closed. This year, help the YMCA of Burlington and Camden counties support the needs of the community and provide the American Red Cross with the ultimate gift of blood.

Join the Y and the Burlington County Chamber of Commerce save lives by participating in a blood drive on Saturday, July 27, from 10:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Studio A at the Mt. Laurel YMCA, located at 59 Centerton Road.

“The need for blood never takes a vacation, and in the summer, when people are away and there are emergencies that require blood and blood products, we need to assure our hospitals that when patients need blood, it will be there for them,” said Julianne Trinidad, executive director of the Red Cross of Camden and Burlington counties. “One unit of blood can help up to five hospital patients. Please help us save lives!”

“Just like the Y, the Burlington County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to the local community. By joining forces, we’re able to appeal to local residents and the business community to do something that truly saves lives — give blood,” said Kristi Howell, president and CEO, Burlington County Chamber of Commerce.

For more information or to register contact the Mt. Laurel YMCA Welcome Center at 234–6200 or visit www.ymca-bc.org.
