Tonight over the course of the next week, Brace Road will be closed at night until July 30 for reconstruction.
NJDOT officials announced the reconstruction of the heavily used roadway in Cherry Hill from Berlin Road to Bowood Drive.
Brace Road will be closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each day for the duration of the work.
“Residents should be aware of this road closure, and plan an alternant route if their commute includes Brace Road during the construction period” said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works.
The project includes the reconstruction of 1.5 miles of Brace Road.
Nearly the entire stretch of the road, from Haddonfield-Berlin Road up to the Kings Highway intersection, will be milled and repaved, and new ADA-compliant curb ramps will be installed along the length of the road, state officials said.
The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website www.511nj.org for real-time travel information.
