YMCA hosting annual children’s art auction
Aspiring “Picasso’s, Van Gogh’s and DaVinci’s” from the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties’ Early Child Care Programs will showcase their unique art work at the second annual “Meatballs & Masterpieces — Children’s Art Auction.”
Featuring artwork created by children ages 8 weeks to 6, the event will be held on Tuesday, April 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel YMCA, located at 59 Centerton Road in Mt. Laurel, and on Tuesday, April 30 at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA, located at 302 Commerce Square Boulevard in Burlington.
The fun-filled family event will also feature a delicious spaghetti and meatballs dinner, Live and Silent Auctions and an artwork sale. Childcare and arts and crafts, including sand and stamp art and noodle necklaces, will also be provided.
Admission for the event is $5 per family, up to four people, and $3 for each additional family member. Proceeds from “Meatballs & Masterpieces” will benefit the Y’s Community Support Campaign, which helps close the financial gap for Burlington and Camden county families who value or require the Y’s programs and services, but may not be able to afford them.
