Shoplifters abound in Cherry Hill police accounts

The following reports are from incidents on file with the Cherry Hill Police Department on their Facebook page.

On Feb. 26 through investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit a man of the unit block of Norwood Court in Medford was charged with theft of movable property in connection with the theft of cash totaling approximately $500 from his employer on Feb. 17.

On Feb. 26 at 4:07 p.m., a man of the 1100 block of Howard Avenue in Bellmawr was arrested and charged with Shoplifting after attempting to leave the Home Depot, 2160 Route 70, without paying for merchandise valued at $284.

On Feb. 25 at 5:18 p.m., a woman of the 3200 block of 107th Street in West Elmhurst, N.Y., and a woman of the 5600 block of Van Cleef Street in Queens, N.Y., were arrested and charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property after being found in possession of merchandise totaling approximately $5,000 from various stores in the Cherry Hill Mall.

On Feb. 24 at 8:09 a.m., police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Cherry Hill Mall lot for a violation. Though investigation by police the occupants, a woman of the 2000 block of Old York Road in Burlington and a man of the unit block of Earnshaw Lane in Willingboro, were found to be in possession of heroin. They were arrested and charged with possession of heroin and related charges.

On Feb. 23 at 7:18 p.m., a woman of the 400 block of Rand Street in Camden was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave Target, 2137 Route 38, without paying for merchandise valued at $679.81.

On Feb. 23 at 5:22 p.m., police responded to McDonald’s, 801 Longwood Avenue, for a suspicious man on location begging for money. Through investigation by police the man, of the 100 block of Knox Boulevard in Marlton, was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine. He was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and cocaine and related charges.

On Feb. 23 at 6:09 p.m., a man of the 3800 block of Westfield Avenue in Pennsauken was arrested and charged with robbery after attempting to assault JCPenney Security, Cherry Hill Mall, while being apprehended for shoplifting merchandise valued at $155.
