LETTER: Super Bowl in the north a bad idea, says writer
For the first time ever, the Super Bowl will be conducted, not in the pleasant winter sunshine of one of America’s southern states, but in the freezing conditions of North Jersey.
The notion of doing this would have to work its way up, in order to be considered dumb.
Is there a doubt — in anyone’s mind — that weather will likely play a key role? Will there be a huge Nor’easter? Or perhaps, black ice?
This will no doubt occur just to prove that God has a sense of humor and to punish those responsible for concocting such a lame idea.
I sincerely hope I’m wrong, but really — isn’t that why the NFL has always played Super Bowls in warm climates?
