The Marines have completed the final inspection for Toys for Tots, and they would like to thank Medford and our neighbors for going above and beyond!
This year, our sponsors and the folks who attended the events, donated over 2,700 toys, and $2,200 in monetary donations.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the people in our area, close to 4,000 families had a brighter holiday.
As the Medford coordinator, I would like to thank the following sponsors for their help, energy, and for dedicating some space in their place of business to collect toys. Boy Scout Troop 26, Shawnee volunteers, and young boy and girl scouts, for being part of our Halloween Parade float. Marlton Roller Hockey, for surprising us with a tremendous amount of wonderful toys.
Thanks to the Medford Sunrise Rotary, for squeezing a seven-ton vehicle into the Dickens Festival.
Thanks to Bob Marsdale, for coordinating and performing in another fantastic, and successful Comedy Night Benefit.
Thanks to new supporters, Wonder World Toys, Queen Bee Boutique, and Al Finklestien of Edward Jones. And a huge thank you to Murphy’s Markets, Kids Ahead Consulting, 7 Deuce Sports, and Charles Bruce Salon, for your ongoing support, and to our local newspapers, for sharing our information.
On behalf of the 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines at Ft Dix, I sincerely appreciate all of the effort and dedication the people in our area have shown to the Toys for Tots campaign.
Sincerely,
Nancy Youngkin
