POLICE: driver loses control into tree

On Jan. 22, at 11:49 p.m., Medford Police, Fire and EMS Personnel responded to the area near Medford-Mt Holly Rd. and Brace Rd., for a report of a car into a tree.

The investigation revealed that the driver was in a gold, 1997 Mercury Cougar traveling northbound on Medford-Mt Holly Rd. south of Brace Rd.

As the driver approached a curve in the roadway, he pressed down on his brakes, which subsequently locked up on him causing him to lose control of his vehicle.

The driver then ran off the roadway and struck a tree on the front lawn of a residence on Medford-Mt Holly Road causing heavy drivers side damage to his vehicle.

He suffered lacerations to both of his hands and was transported to Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly for medical treatment.

The collision is still under investigation.
