POLICE: Woman arrested for child endangerment
The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 45-year-old woman of the 100 block of Canterbury Road on Jan.11 at 7:43 a.m. for endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. While being taken into custody on outstanding warrants at her residence, she resisted arrest. A subsequent inspection of the residence by the Mt. Laurel Building Inspector found it to be uninhabitable. She was committed to the Burlington County Minimum Security Facility in lieu of $27,500Â bail.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 57-year-old man of the unit block of Washington Street, Mt. Holly, on Jan. 11 for a burglary and theft previously reported at the Sunoco station on Route 38. Police observed the 57 year old on Marne Highway at 2:07 p.m. on Jan. 11 and recognized him as the suspect in surveillance video. He was charged with burglary and theft and committed to BCJ in lieu of $20,000Â bail.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 36-year-old man of the unit block of Raysmith Road, Erial, on Jan. 12 for possession of marijuana. He was stopped on Fellowship Road for a motor vehicle violation at 9:20 a.m. He was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams). He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.
A member of LA Fitness on Dearborn Circle reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 9:15 and 10:15 a.m. on Jan. 12. The vehicle was scratched and dented. Damage is estimated at $2000.
A resident of the unit block of Sheffield Lane reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred on Jan.11 between 5 and 9 p.m. Entry was gained by forcing the rear window. Jewelry, valued at an undetermined amount, was taken. A damage estimate is not available at this time.
Mt. Laurel Police are attempting to identify the subject in the below photographs. He is wanted for the theft of items from a vehicle parked at the Sunoco on Route 38 on Jan. 4.
A resident of the unit block of Horseshoe Drive reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 12:30 and 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 9. A vehicle window was broken. Damage is estimated at $300.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 43-year-old man of the 5500 block of Pine Street, Philadelphia, and a 25-year-old woman of the 2000 block of Wishard Street, Philadelphia, on Jan. 9. They were arrested at a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73 at 1:21 p.m. for prostitution related offenses during an undercover police investigation. The 43-year-old was charged with promoting prostitution, while the 25-year-old was charged with prostitution and unlawful possession of a stun gun. Both were served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Mt. Laurel Police Department and Mt.Laurel Fire Department responded to a fire in the rear of the 4000 block of Grenwich Way at 4:29 p.m. on Jan. 9. The fire was extinguished by the resident. There were no injuries or structural damage reported. The fire was set in a trashcan. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A customer of the Shoprite on Nixon Drive reported a stolen vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Jan. 9. A 1995 Nissan Altima, valued at $3,000, was taken.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested 25-year-old man, of the 300 block of Windsor Lane, Marlton, on Jan.10, for driving while intoxicated. He was located by police in a disabled vehicle in the parking lot of 815 East Gate Drive at 2:23 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and released pending a municipal court hearing.
