Mt. Laurel planning board members made a final decision on the plans for the new Wal-Mart on Thursday, Jan. 10. Board members unanimously approved the plans that were laid out in December.
The Mt. Laurel Sun reported in August the 89,000 square foot retail store would be built on Route 73 and Fellowship Road.
Township Manager Maureen Mitchell said there were no changes to the plan from December.
“It’s still the same layout,” she said, adding the parking lot needed additional conditions to curving.
According to Mitchell, the handful of residents who attended the meeting wanted to see the project completed.
“They want the property to be improved,” she said.
Traffic concerns where also mentioned at the meeting.
Mt. Laurel planning board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the courtroom located at 100 Mt. Laurel Road.
