Congregation Beth El hosting free concert
The Mama Doni Band, honored with a 2011 Parents Choice Award, will be performing a free family concert at Congregation Beth El located on 8000 Main Street in Voorhees on Sunday, Jan.13, at 11 a.m.
Mama Doni celebrates Jewish culture with irrepressible zest in its high-energy, interactive family rock concerts, and acoustic Shabbat experiences filled with a contagious and unexpected blend of reggae, rock, disco, Latin and Klezmer — all woven together with soulful energy and a super hip Jewish sensibility.
In addition to producing fun, family-friendly CDs and videos, Mama Doni and her team offer live concerts and ECE workshops. Mama Doni’s 2011–2012 tour is sponsored by Streit’s Matzo, and at every Mama Doni concert everyone in the audience receives free CD, Poster and Download Card — a gift from Streit’s! She also has appeared on FOX-5 TV’s Good Day New York, NBC’s Weekend Today in New York, and E Channel’s The Soup. Mama Doni is also the spokesperson and host on SHALOM TV!
The concert is sponsored by the Congregation Beth El Early Childhood Center which offers full-time daycare and part-time preschool, and Kindergarten in a warm and nurturing environment. Additionally Congregation Beth El is partnering with the Gotta Have Sole Foundation to collect shoes and socks for children in the United States living in homeless shelters. Refreshments will be provided by Classic Cake.
