POLICE: Three charged with drug possession
The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 20-year-old man of the 5400 block of Madison Street, Hollywood, FL, a 21-year-old man, of the 800 block of 13th Street, Belmar, and a 23-year-old-man of the unit block of Gimble Place, Ocean, NJ, on Jan. 4 for possession of CDS. They were arrested in the area of Route 73 and Fellowship Road during a police investigation at 1:47 p.m. The 20 and 23 year old were charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), and the other was charged with possession of heroin. They were each served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 40-year-old man, of the 500 block of Fellowship Road, and a 30-year-old woman, of the unit block of Cedar Avenue, Westville, on Jan. 4 for promoting prostitution. They were arrested at a hotel on the 500 block of Fellowship Road at 1:15 p.m. Both charged with promoting prostitution and conspiracy to promote prostitution. The woman was also charged with possession of heroin and possession of cocaine. She was committed to the Burlington County Minimum Security Facility in lieu of a $25,000 bail and while the 40-year-old man was committed to Burlington County Jail in lieu of a $30,000Â bail.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 46-year-old man of the 6000 block of Wayne Avenue, Pennsauken, on Jan. 5, for driving while intoxicated (DWI). He was involved in a single vehicle accident on Pleasant Valley Avenue at 11:43 a.m. and charged with a DWI due to being under the influence of CDS. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 26-year-old man of the unit block of Hawk Lane, Marlton, on Jan. 6, for driving while intoxicated (DWI). He was stopped on Cornwallis Drive at 2:51 a.m. and charged with a DWI. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.
A resident of the 800 block of Charleston Road reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between Jan. 4 at 10 to Jan. 6 at 4:30 p.m. A vehicle door was damaged. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
A resident of the unit block of Oleander Court reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred on Jan. 6, between 6 a.m. and 8:25 p.m. Entry was gained by forcing the dining room window. A handgun, electronic gaming device, and jewelry, valued at over $800, were taken. Damage is estimated at $250.
