Reminder: a township council meeting is scheduled for tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Building, located at 91 Union St.
A resolution awarding a contract to clear vegetative debris will be awarded to help clear the large amount of fallen trees following Hurricane Sandy. A small amount of trees have already been removed by public works employees and a contractor hired by the township, according to township manager Chris Schultz.
Since the workload is larger than the scope of the public works department, the township will be seeking a third-party vendor through public bid.
Additionally, there will be an update on the expenses regarding the July 4th celebration, the Jennings Rd. closure ordinance and a second reading regarding the use of the historic village commercial zoning district.
