Moorestown Friends School (MFS) has appointed three new School Committee members. The MFS School Committee, or Board of Trustees, includes up to 21 members, a majority of whom must be members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). The overall and ultimate responsibility for school management and policies lies with the School Committee.
Peter Baily is head of school at Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Previously, Baily served as head of Oak Lane Day School and as interim head at the Quaker School at Horsham. He currently serves on the boards of Robert C. Parker School, Friends Seminary, and Friends Council on Education. Bailey attended Earlham and Nasson Colleges. He holds an masters from Bryn Mawr College.
Stefanie Cohen was president of Congregation M’kor Shalom in Cherry Hill from June 2010 to 2012. She currently serves on the board of the Congregation. Prior to assuming presidency, Cohen served as board member, Ritual Committee Chair, and active participant on such initiatives as communications, membership, major fundraising, rabbinic search, nominating committee, and by-law review. Cohen is an attorney who worked primarily in law firm strategic planning and marketing.
Patricia Ann Metzer is a tax attorney with Vacovec, Mayotte & Singer in Cambridge, Mass. Metzer conducts a general tax practice, representing business entities, non-profits, individuals, estates and trusts in all areas of the tax law. Metzer is the author of numerous texts and articles on taxation, and is a contributing author to “Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.” A member of the Massachusetts, Boston, American and Federal Bar Associations, she received her undergraduate degree and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
