The following is on file with the Evesham Police Department:
On Thursday Sept. 27 at 7:52pm, the Evesham Police Department responded to the Jay Roberts Jewelry Store located at 515 S. Rt. 73 for an armed robbery in progress.
Investigation found that two masked individuals, both wearing dark clothing and masks to cover their faces, entered the jewelry store.
Once in the store, one of the suspects broke a glass case with a masonry style hammer, while the other suspect collected the watches. It was approximately 20 seconds from the time the suspects entered the store until the time they fled.
The two suspects fled the store south through the parking lot. A perimeter was quickly established by responding patrol units and a canine track was conducted. The canine track led investigators to believe that the suspects fled the area in a getaway vehicle.
The jewelry taken was high-end Breitling watches, with a total estimated value of $150,000.
