Bordi sworn in after serving as police chief for two months

After 23 years of service, Louis Bordi was sworn in as the new Voorhees Chief of Police on Monday, Sept. 24.

According to township manager Larry Spellman, Bordi was officially appointed back in July following former Voorhees Chief of Police Keith Hummel’s resignation.

Although Bordi served as Chief for two months, the township had to wait for the state’s approval process before swearing him in.

Bordi is a life long resident of Voorhees. From Lieutenant to Captain and now the Voorhees Police Chief, Bordi stood in front of not only members from the Voorhees Police Department, but officers from most of the county attended as well, said Spellman.
