The fifth annual Veterans Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show benefiting Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice was held Saturday, June 23 at Cherry Hill High School West. Organized by Samaritan Certified Home Health Aide Deborah Giacoboni and her husband John, the event raised $6,625 to support Samaritan programs and services for veterans and their families.

The judged show attracted 206 cars and trucks, 26 motorcycles, eight military vehicles, 28 volunteers and 27 sponsors. Class and motorcycle trophies were awarded, each in honor of a deceased veteran, as well as four 6’6” Best of Show trophies.

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice cares for patients and families coping with a life-limiting illness. The experience of military service — particularly during traumatic combat assignments — can affect veterans physically, socially and emotionally throughout their lives, especially at the end of life. Samaritan Veterans’ Hospice Services provide specialized care and education for veterans and their families. Samaritan also offers a Veterans Visiting Veterans program, where veteran volunteers can visit veteran hospice patients.
