The following incident can be found on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On April 15, at 8:52 p.m., the Evesham Police Department responded to the Kohl’s Store, 301 W. Route 70 for a strong-armed robbery.
Investigation determined that a male suspect used physical force against a store loss prevention officer when he was confronted for shoplifting. After assaulting the store employee the male exited the store and fled the area in a waiting vehicle. The investigating officer was able to positively identify the suspect from surveillance video combined with a vehicle registration.
A $50,000 arrest warrant was issued for the suspect. He was later arrested at his residence on April 18, by the Lindenwold Police Department.
The 30-year-old male suspect of Lindenwold, N.J., was charged with second degree strong-armed robbery and two separate fourth degree shoplifting charges from prior dates. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail in default of $65,000 full bail.
