Solar panel unveiled in Voorhees

A solar system was unveiled at Avian Plaza in Voorhees.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, March 28, to announce the commissioning of a photovoltaic solar panel system (PV) installation project at the Avian Plaza Shopping Center, located at 2999 Evesham Road in Voorhees.

Many involved in the Avian Plaza solar system project were present, including Avian Plaza property owners Tanya and Myron “Bucky” Buchman and Jack Sattin, co-owner of the solar panel system.

Mayor Michael Mignona of Voorhees was in attendance to speak about the dynamic project. Also in attendance were representatives from Susquehanna Bank, the bank that financed the Avian Plaza solar system project.

The solar system at Avian Plaza is the largest installation to date in Voorhees Township. The system was developed and installed by National Energy Partners, LLC
