Lenape students nominated

Lenape High School seniors Lindsay O’Brien and Tim Vanak were nominated to participate in the VSA arts achievement award competition in North Brunswick. Both Lindsay and Tim needed to present a portfolio complete with three different mediums and five to eight different works of art.

While at the competition, they needed to reproduce a still-life presented to them by the VSA and draw the still life to the best of their ability. Followed by the drawing, they needed to interview with the jury and discuss their portfolio. Each student did exceptionally well.

Art teacher Colleen Mc Laughlin said: “I am very proud of them and their achievement. Being nominated for this competitive award and making it this far in the competition is truly an honor.”
