There were a lot of police calls for Evesham Township in 2011

The Evesham Police Department has conducted a review of its 2011 activity.

The department handled 79,647 police-service functions for the year, with 24,028 of these police service functions placed to 9–1–1 seeking the police help.

The department conducted 4,741 criminal investigations in 2011, where 34 involved crimes with weapons involved; 175 involved crimes of violence; 524 involved drug crimes; 21 were sex-crimes investigations; and 328 were burglary investigations.

These investigations resulted in the arrest of 1,614 people.

The department’s traffic function resulted in 1,723 motor vehicle crash investigations. The department conducted 13,655 motor vehicle stop investigations, while issuing 10,210 summons. Police arrested 170 on drunken driving charges.

The Evesham Police Department is committed to making Evesham Township a safe place to live, work and play. When residents require the department’s service in 2012, do not hesitate to call 9–1–1 for emergencies or 856–983–1111 for non-emergencies.
