The National Weather Service and Mount Holly has issued a Winter Weather Advisory. Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain could cause travel difficulties this evening and overnight.
The latest weather forecast from the National Weather Service shows a weak storm system moving into the region bringing with it some snowfall. After today’s highs around 40 degrees, precipitation should start as rain before mixing with snow.
Eventually it will fall as all snow, with expecting accumulation of coating to less than an inch on grassy and colder surfaces. The biggest threat from this storm is likely black ice as temperatures fall to near to below freezing later this evening and through tonight.
The winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain might cause travel difficulties tonight and tomorrow morning. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility and use caution while driving.
