Town hall demolition to start this week

The demolition of the town hall building, located at 111 West Second Street, will begin this week. The demolition will be performed by using a hydraulic claw machine, and possibly an arm-mounted jackhammer, which will tap, push and grab pieces of the building and place them in piles.

The township architect has advised that parking should not be greatly impacted. The main impact will be truck traffic to and from the site to remove debris once the building has been demolished. Trucks will access and exit the site from Third Street during normal business hours.

Anyone with questions or comments concerning this announcement may contact Thomas J. Merchel, Acting Township Manager, at 856–235–0912, ext. 3003 or [email protected].
