Brightview Senior Living, located at 400 Fernbrooke Lane in Mt. Laurel, will be hosting its second annual “Cruisin’ for a Cause” classic car show and cookout fundraiser on Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its Brightview Mount Laurel assisted living community. Proceeds will support the South Jersey Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Rain date is Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For a $5 per person donation, guests can enjoy antique cars and street rods on display from the 1920s thru 1960s, musical entertainment, cookout, ice cream fest and prizes. A 1950s doo-wop show is scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., and a DJ will keep the music flowing outdoors throughout the event. The classic car show is open to the public, and RSVP is needed by Sept. 9.
Senior residents of Brightview will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite cars at the show, and will present first, second, and third place “Resident’s Choice” trophies to the winners.
“Getting the residents involved with our special events and helping them rekindle fond memories from their past is always one of our goals”, states Community Outreach Director Jeff Kleeman. “The Brightview mission is to provide the most vibrant community for our residents and improve their quality of life.”
Complimentary tours will also be available for families interested in learning more about Brightview’s assisted living and Wellspring Village memory care services for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other more advanced forms of dementia.
