This past week Team Evesham assembled their bicycles and took to the streets of Philadelphia to raise money to fight cancer. Held on Sunday, July 10, Team Evesham rode in the American Cancer Society’s event and travelled from the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia to Blackwater Pond Park in Buena, N.J.
Team Evesham had 28 cyclists participate in the ride and raised more than $7,800 for the American Cancer Society. Riders could choose to complete a 62-mile circuit or a 100-mile route.
Team Evesham representative Sandy Student said the next big event for Team Evesham will be to ride in the annual “M.S. City to the Shore” ride which raises money for research into a cure for multiple sclerosis.
