The World Athlete Track Company held its first ever World Athlete Summer Track Meet at Moorestown High School on Wednesday, June 29, with athletes from all over South Jersey flocking to attend the event and get some good workouts in prior to the school year.
Four more of these meets will be scheduled for July 9, 13, 20, and 27 all at Moorestown High School. The events are open to all ages and skill levels of runners in South Jersey.
This previous meet, Harrison Morris, 13, of Moorestown edged out three other runners to take the gold in the boys 1,500-meter event. He ran the race in a time of 4:57.70, beating the second place finisher by a full minute.

Based in Mt. Laurel, World Athlete promotes fitness and healthy lifestyles through the sport of track and field. Since 2004, thousands of children have participated in World Athlete indoor track, summer track camps, special events, fitness field trips and track-themed birthday parties, representatives reported.
