Get out and celebrate the Fourth of July with Moorestown

After a two year hiatus, the residents of Moorestown will again celebrate the birth of American with a Fourth of July parade.

The Moorestown Business Association will host a parade on Monday, July 4 which will step off at noon at the intersection of Chester and Central Street. From there, the parade will head up to Main St. and then turn down Church St.

Dave Schill, who heads up the committee, said the group has been trying to resuscitate the parade since it went on hiatus two years ago during a round of township budget cuts. Schill said the group has raised about $5,200, a bit more than the $4,000 needed to have adequate police presence at the event.
