Work to continue on Route 73

Completion of the Route 70 and 73 intersection is nearing completion, but some more roadwork will affect Route 73 traffic through theĀ fall.

The state Department of Transportation has announced the start of a $2.2 million project to resurface Route 73 in both directions in Mt. Laurel andĀ Evesham.

NJDOT has already started conducting shoulder closings on Route 73 South of Baker Boulevard to Howard Boulevard for the installation of vehicle sensors for traffic signals, new drainage, curbing and sidewalks.

In mid-May, temporary single lane closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for resurfacing, starting with the northbound lanes then the southbound lanes.

Project completion is scheduled for OctoberĀ 2011.
