John Greco of Indian Mills caught a 50-lb. snapper turtle. The turtle was caught with a fishing rod pond behind Fawn Lake Village off Route 206 in Shamong. Known around the Pine Barrens for his Snapper Soup, Greco, will pardon this turtle from becoming someone’s dinner. He will show it off for the next few days and then release back into the pond.
