Last week, New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt and other state legislators joined Comcast at a special event held at the Trenton War Memorial to recognize this year’s New Jersey recipients.
Several students from Cherry Hill are receiving scholarships this year through Comcast’s annual Leaders and Achievers program:
· Cherry Hill — Shannon Cahill of Camden Catholic High School
· Cherry Hill — Kerwing Hy of Cherry Hill High School West
· Cherry Hill — Tezita Watts of Cherry Hill High School East
After a prize drawing at the event, Watts and a student from Camden, were also among ten students to win a Netbook computer for use at college.
The Comcast Leaders and Achievers program, one of the Comcast Foundation’s signature community investment programs, recognizes students’ leadership skills, academic achievement and commitment to community service. This year, Comcast is awarding $78,000 in scholarships to New Jersey students.
