Mayor Bernie Platt honored Johnson fifth grader Alexander Glass at last night’s council meeting. This is the second time Glass has received an award for his musical composition. Members of council said they hoped to someday hear Glass perform his written composition on the piano.

Platt also honored students from the Politz Day School and the Kellman Academy for planting trees at Croft Farm last month. Platt said the Department of Public Works informed his office that the students planted nearly 70 trees in a short amount of time on April 29.

Platt and members of council congratulated all the students who were awarded.

“Thank you for your contributions to Cherry Hill,” Councilwoman Jacquelene Silver said.
