In the township’s history of great cheerleading squads, Mayor Randy Brown said these girls were the best. The Evesham Township Council awarded the Marlton Chiefs Cheerleaders with a proclamation for their successful 2011 season.
The Chiefs came in first place in the 2011 U.S. Final National East Champions earlier this year at Virginia Beach. The team garnered six first place finishes in competitions earlier this year throughout the region as well, which led them to the finals.
“The team accomplishment reflects, not only the skill and dedication of its members, but also that of its most devoted coaching staff,” Brown read from the proclamation. “The combination of talent has proven to be a victorious blend of dedication and sportsmanship throughout the season.”
Being a football coach himself, Brown said its always a great lift to his teams when the Chiefs are cheering at football games.
We extend our best wishes for many future successes, both as a team and individually, Brown said.
