On April 14, at the Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, Moorestown High School student Gabbi Townsend was awarded a $1,000 Scholarship by the National Association of Women Business Owners- South Jersey.
The event, called Keys To The Future, was the first annual scholarship awarded by the group. The goal of the scholarship is to reward young, female entrepreneurs.
There was an expert business panel who discussed the challenges and opportunities of women and women business owners.
Panelists were Editor of SJ Magazine, Marianne Aleardi; President of Ambler Growth Strategy Consultants, Inc., Aldonna Ambler; President of Camden Shipping Corporation, Michelle Bunting; President of Thomas Boyd Communications, Pam Boyd; and Chief Medical Officer Atlanticare, Marilouise Venditti, MD
Also awarded a $1,000 scholarship was Francesca “Frankie” Lagrotteria of Hammonton High School.
