Burlington County Health Department is holding its Fourth annual Environmental Health Photo Contest with this year’s theme being, “I Spy With My Environmental Eye.”
“We encourage our residents to submit photos of environmental successes or challenges in our communities to raise awareness of everyone’s impact on the environment,” said Freeholder Mary Ann O’Brien.
The photos will be judged by the Burlington County Health Department and Crafts Creek/Spring Hill Brook Watershed Association. All of the pictures will be showcased at Burlington County’s Earth Fair at Smithville Park on Saturday, June 18 and a People’s Choice Award will be voted on and awarded that day.
County residents can enter one photo only. Pictures must include a brief description of 25 words or less, and a location. Awards will be given to the following groups:
- 10-years-old and under
- 11–15
- 16–18
- Adult amateur
- Senior amateur, 62-years-old and up
- Adult professional.
Photos should be no larger than 5” x 7” and must be received by 5 p.m., May 20.
The preferred method of submission is electronic and the photos can be e-mailed to [email protected] (photos must be less than 1 MB).
