Buy some eggs, some milk, and help support the troops overseas all in the same day. The Yellow Ribbon Club announced another “Armed Forces Day” for Evesham Township on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marlton Shop Rite, 307 West Route 70.
The Yellow Ribbon Club will be at the Marlton Shop Rite to accept items to ship to the troops. In return for a donation, participants will receive a large hand made yellow ribbon while supplies last. The club members will be on hand to pass out a short list of “requested from the troops” items so you know what to purchase.
The club has been in short supply of items as the mailing list has been growing each week, club representative David Silver reported.
The boxes will be put together, packed up, and shipped out to the armed forces on May 23.
“Please stop buy, even if only for a minute or two, and help us send some ‘touches of home’ to our hero’s who are in harms way,” Silver said.
