Route 73 reconstruction starting today

The New Jersey Department of Transportation today announced the start of a $2.2 million resurfacing project on Route 73 in both directions in Evesham and Mount Laurel, Burlington County.

Beginning April 29, NJDOT will conduct shoulder closings on Route 73 from south of Baker Boulevard to Howard Boulevard for the installation of vehicle sensors for traffic signals, new drainage, curbing and sidewalks. In Mid-May, temporary single lane closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for resurfacing, starting with the northbound lanes then the southbound lanes.

Project completion is scheduled for October 2011.
