Two BOE candidates drop out of race

By ROBERT LINNEHAN

The final eight candidates are set for the April 27 board of education elections. Originally 10 candidates registered to run in the elections, but two dropped out earlier this week.

Kenneth D’Andrea and Harvey Brown dropped out of the crowded BOE race. The remaining eight candidates will vie for three expiring seats at the end of this year. The seats are full-term, at three years apiece.

Candidates David Silver, JoAnne Harmon, Joseph Barbagiovanni, Joy Curley, Kevin Stone, and Suzanne Schweiger Epstein will race against incumbent candidates Sandy Student and Rosemary Bernardi for the open seats.

The Marlton Sun will be debuting a Meet the Candidates series in the print version of our paper in two weeks and then online until the election deadline.
