BOE race is already crowded for K-8 District

By ROBERT LINNEHAN

Three seats are expiring at the end of this school year for the Evesham K-8 Board of Education and there is plenty of interest to fill them for the board.

Each seat is a three-year seat.

Following the 4 p.m. deadline today for candidates, Business Administrator Dennis Nettleton reported that 10 candidates have registered to run for the April 27 BOE elections. Nettleton said that candidates can withdraw from the race up until Monday, March 14.

Joseph Barbagiovanni, Rosemary Bernardi, Harvey Brown, Joy Curley, Kenneth P. D’Andrea, Suzanne Schweiger Epstein, JoAnne Harmon, David J. Silver, Kevin A. Stone, and Sandy Student registered to run for the three open seats.

Bernardi and Student are the only two incumbents to register to run in the election. BOE incumbent Bonnie Olt did not register to run for her expiring seat.

Candidate profiles will be featured in the coming weeks on The Marlton Sun Web site.
