Marijuana dealer arrested after traffic stop

On Feb. 24, at approximately 9:30 a.m., an Evesham Police Officer was operating a patrol vehicle equipped with an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR). While on patrol the officer located a vehicle being operated on Route 73 in the area of Lincoln Drive in Marlton. The officer received notification that this vehicle was not properly registered through the State of New Jersey.

The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop and during the investigation he found that the suspect was in possession of a quarter pound of marijuana. The 40-year-old female out of Mt. Laurel was charged with Possession of over 50 grams of marijuana, Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS and Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school.

She was released pending a scheduled court hearing
