The Medford Environmental Commission is presenting “The Solar Town,” a free workshop for area residents and business owners to learn about the opportunities with solar power on March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Medford Public Safety Building.
The program will feature experts in solar energy and installation who will provide insight into the costs and benefits of solar and real world examples of solar projects installed or under development in Medford and other south Jersey communities.
Speakers include:
- Joseph Augustyn, Medford Township Planner and an associate with Alaimo Group Engineers
- Joe Biluck, Jr., Director of Operations and Technology for the Medford Board of Education
- Don Powell, owner of Powell Energy and Solar based in Moorestown
- Clay Rager, Owner of Rager Energy Consulting based in Sewell
Speakers will discuss the opportunities, costs and pitfalls of solar installations for both residential, business and farm properties.
This is a free program. Medford and non-Medford residents and business owners are encouraged to attend the program, which is presented by the Medford Environmental and Open Space Commission.
