Moorestown-native, Alexandra Villani, a graduate of Moorestown High School Class of 2009 and current sophomore at Elon University, is spearheading a swim-a-thon called “One More Lap to Save One More Memory” with the American Alzheimer Association and Elon University on April 16.
When Alexandra’s grandfather, Joseph Villani, Sr., who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, passed away last July, she wanted to make a difference and create an activity that would honor this wonderful man as well as increase awareness about this disease that is impacting so many families and friends.
