Moorestown Township Council will hold meetings every Monday this month to workshop the 2011 municipal budget.
Budget workshops have been scheduled for March 7 at 6:30 p.m., March 14 at 6 p.m., March 21 at 6:30 p.m., and March 28 at 6 p.m.
The budget workshops scheduled for March 14 and March 28 are scheduled to take place before regular action meetings, which are both scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
As Council has done for the past two years, budget workshops are intended to discuss issues pertaining to the 2011 municipal budget. Meetings include discussion among Council members and officials and offer members of the public a chance to speak.
Township Manager, Chris Schultz, said he’d like to have Council in the position to adopt the 2011 budget earlier than usual, specifically, before Easter.
For the past couple of years, Council has adopted the municipal budget in summer months.
