The following incident was taken from reports on file with The Medford Township Police Department:
On Feb. 25 at 2:24 pm, Medford Township police, fire, and EMS units responded to the intersection of routes 70 and 541 for a motor vehicle crash. Police investigation determined that a 2007 Mazda MZ6 being operated by a resident of Westampton was stopped in traffic waiting to merge onto Route 70 west from south on Route 541 when it was struck from behind by a 2009 Suzuki SX4 being operated by a Pemberton resident. The driver of the Mazda was transported to Virtua Hospital Mt Holly by Medford EMS for evaluation of back pain. The driver of the Suzuki was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving and was released pending an appearance in Medford Township Municipal Court. The crash is under investigation by the Medford Township Police Traffic Bureau.
