Students from Harrington Middle School will celebrate National Engineers Week along with students from seven South Jersey area middle schools tomorrow at Lockheed Martin in Moorestown.
Students will visit the facility for an interactive day of educational experiences in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.
Students will be participating in a number of hands-on activities designed to offer insight into the world of engineering including a toothpick tower activity, a Lego activity and an aluminum foil boat building challenge.
Lockheed Martin engineers will also discuss classes, careers, college and their own experiences entering the engineering field.
Officials at Lockheed Martin said they hope to inspire students to pursue studies and careers in engineering by showing them the many exciting facets of the field.
