Lenape High School captured second place at the Burlington County Math League (BCML) competition. The competition consists of a series of 5 competitions at 5 different schools over the course of five months.
The final competition was held at Delran High School on Feb. 8. The BCML is run by the math team advisors of each school. Advisors take turns generating questions and hosting the events. Each competition has 6 questions ranging from Algebra to Pre-Calculus. The use of a calculator is restricted to one specific question per competition.
Senior Emily Zhang won the award for “Highest Individual Scorer for 2010–2011” at the competition. She scored 23 points for the Lenape Math Team over the five competitions, six points higher than her nearest competitor.
